Krieg DeVault LLP is pleased to announce that Micah J. Nichols has joined the Business, Acquisitions and Securities Practice Group.  Mr. Nichols will concentrate his practice in the areas of estate planning and business law.   

Throughout his career, Mr. Nichols has assisted numerous clients in achieving their goals through the design of comprehensive estate plans.  Whether working to minimize estate taxes, helping to fulfill charitable intentions, or working through complex family dynamics, Mr. Nichols has provided the insights and assistance needed to create  estate plans that are tailored to his clients’ individual needs.  In addition to working with clients on charitable and planned-gift-giving and formulating special needs and minor trusts, he also provides counsel and assistance with guardianships, long term care planning, and estate and trust administration matters.

In addition to his estate planning practice, Mr. Nichols advises and assists clients with the formation of business entities and various corporate issues, including asset sales, acquisitions, contracts, real estate transactions, business succession plans, and general business matters.
Prior to private practice, Mr. Nichols completed a one-year judicial clerkship in the Allen Circuit Court in Fort Wayne, Indiana, under the Honorable Thomas J. Felts, the Honorable Craig J. Bobay, and Magistrate John. D. Kitch, III.  He has also served as an associate attorney with various Indiana based law firms, and has focused extensively in estate planning and elder law.  He is a 2012 graduate of the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, and holds membership in the Indiana  and American Bar Associations.
