Krieg DeVault is pleased to announce the promotions of four attorneys – Alex Eads, Michael Moffatt Jr., Marija Nicksic, and Kathryn Tomey, to the position of Senior Associate. Prior to their new roles, each attorney contributed to the Firm within their respective areas of employee benefits, litigation services, and commercial and real estate lending.
ABOUT THE PARTNERS
Alex Eads (Indianapolis, IN Office) – Alex Eads concentrates his practice on employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), ESOP transactions, and a broad range of employee benefit matters. His work includes advising companies, trustees, and other stakeholders on the structuring, implementation, and regulatory considerations surrounding ESOP‑related transactions.
Michael Moffatt Jr. (Indianapolis, IN Office) – Michael Moffatt focuses his practice on litigation and dispute resolution, representing clients in commercial matters, contractual disputes, risk mitigation, and various forms of pre‑litigation counseling. His experience includes managing discovery, drafting substantive motions, and supporting clients through all stages of the litigation process.
Marija Nicksic (Chicago, IL Office) – Marija Nicksic focuses her practice business and real estate financing, corporate transactions, and corporate acquisitions and dispositions. Ms. Nicksic also has experience in alternative lending transactions, energy projects, factoring of accounts receivable, and general real estate services.
Kathryn Tomey (Carmel, IN Office) – Kathryn Tomey focuses her practice in the area of commercial and real estate lending, with an emphasis on finance and real estate transactions. Ms. Tomey has represented lenders in multi‑family housing deals across the country and brings extensive experience with title and survey matters for multi‑family housing projects. She also has experience in bankruptcy and health law, enhancing her ability to advise clients navigating complex financial and regulatory environments.
