Krieg DeVault is pleased to announce the law firm will serve as an exclusive sponsor, in partnership with the Indiana Historical Society, of the 2016 Indiana Bicentennial Minute campaign. A media campaign voiced by Hoosier native and broadcast icon Jane Pauley, the project will deliver 52 fascinating Indiana stories of the last two centuries to Hoosiers statewide.
The Indiana Bicentennial Minute, with the support of Krieg DeVault, is endorsed by the Indiana Bicentennial Commission and will be presented throughout 2016 in partnership with WISH-TV and select television partners across Indiana. The 52 weekly PSAs will begin airing in January, with each 60-second segment designed to captivate the public and highlight noteworthy moments of Indiana history.
“Krieg DeVault is honored to be the exclusive partner of the Indiana Historical Society’s Indiana Bicentennial Minute program,” said Deborah J. Daniels, Managing Partner at Krieg DeVault. “For much of the state’s 200 year history, our law firm has had the privilege of supporting many of Indiana’s finest achievements, milestones, and growth initiatives. We thank the Indiana Historical Society for so eloquently honoring the history of our great state, and we look forward to continuing our growth within Indiana for many years to come.”
“We are very excited to bring history to life for our fellow citizens—of all ages—with the Indiana Bicentennial Minute campaign,” said John A. Herbst, IHS President and CEO. “Together with so many valuable partners, we hope this sharing of our vast archival collections in a new and exciting way will inspire Hoosiers to learn more about where we have been, and connect that knowledge with where we can go in the next 200 years.”
The videos are being professionally produced through a partnership with Dennis Neary, owner of Neary Creative, and Lee Nassau, founder of DL Images. In addition to having Pauley as the voice of the campaign, select PSAs will be produced in collaboration with her alma mater, Warren Central High School, and its in-house production studio, Frontrunner Media Productions.
Segment topics include the path to statehood, as well as subjects such as agriculture, automobiles, business, entrepreneurship, labor, medical innovations, military service, music, politics, railroads, social justice, sports, transportation and more.
The segments will appear throughout 2016 on Media General's four Indiana television stations in Indianapolis (WISH-TV), Fort Wayne (WANE-TV), Terre Haute (WTHI-TV) and Lafayette (WLFI-TV), as well as in South Bend (WSJV-TV) and Evansville (WEVV-TV).
