Travis Lovett is a member of the firm's Business, Acquisitions, and Securities Practice. He concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate transactions, advising both buyers and sellers through the negotiation of stock and asset acquisitions and advising clients on mergers and restructurings to meet operational objectives. In addition, Mr. Lovett advises privately held businesses on issues related to entity formation, transfer of ownership and recapitalization, fiduciary duties between owners and management, and other corporate governance matters, including compliance with the Corporate Transparency Act.
Mr. Lovett also advises clients that transact and partner with Native American tribes and on various matters related to federal Indian law. Before joining Krieg DeVault, Mr. Lovett served as a Tribal Attorney for Indigenous communities in Canada where he routinely negotiated with government officials to determine if natural resource projects infringed Indigenous lands and advised tribal leaders on corporate and governance matters.
