Krieg DeVault's Kay Dee Baird Elected Chair of the Indianapolis Bar Association's Commercial Law & Bankruptcy Section for 2021

Krieg DeVault is pleased to announce that attorney Kay Dee Baird has been elected as Chair of the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Commercial and Bankruptcy Law section. Her term begins January 1, 2021. Ms. Baird has previously served in various roles within the Commercial and Bankruptcy Law section, most recently as the Vice Chair.
The Bar Association Commercial & Bankruptcy Law section regularly schedules and conducts educational programs for members of the section, monitors legislative and judicial developments relevant to bankruptcy and commercial law, forms liaison relationships with the judiciary and relays relevant information to members of the section.
Kay Dee Baird is a member of the firm's Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy Practice Group. Ms. Baird advises clients who are involved in creditor/debtor disputes, and often participates in bankruptcy proceedings, foreclosure proceedings, and other collection matters. Ms. Baird primarily works with creditors, however, she advises both individual and institutional creditors. In the area of litigation, Ms. Baird assists clients in various types of commercial litigation depending on the needs of the particular client. Ms. Baird's litigation experience ranges from small litigation matters to class action litigation. Ms. Baird has assisted a wide array of clients in such litigation, including individuals, institutional clients, and nationally known corporations. In addition to work in Creditors' Rights and Litigation, Ms. Baird also has experience in transactions involving commercial law.
