Long-time Partner Mike Williams Named Chair of Krieg DeVault’s Business Practice

Krieg DeVault is pleased to announce that Partner Michael E. Williams has been named as the firm's new Business, Acquisitions and Securities Practice Chair. He takes over the position previously held for several years by Partner Brian M. Heaton who remains with the firm and will continue to serve on the firm’s Executive Leadership Team.
Williams’ tenure at Krieg DeVault spans over 40 years, having served in numerous leadership positions–most notably as the firm’s Managing Partner from 1991-2014. He will now lead a team of talented attorneys and professionals in one of the firm’s most robust practices including the areas of antitrust, corporate finance and governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, privately held business services, and securities.

Each year the firm’s lawyers facilitate billions of dollars in mergers, acquisitions, asset sales, joint ventures, strategic alliances, debt and equity offerings, capital formations, restructurings, economic development grants and awards, and outsourcing contracts. Mike Williams devotes his practice primarily to general corporate law, antitrust, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and financial services matters. He has participated in mergers and acquisitions of privately and publicly-held companies, and has represented companies with respect to complex corporate financial issues. He has represented companies and individuals in asset acquisitions, stock purchase transactions, raising equity, teaming arrangements and other forms of joint ventures and collaborations. He has also advised clients with respect to a variety of antitrust matters, including structuring global distribution arrangements, price fixing, collusion and monopoly issues. His industry experience includes aerospace, automotive, advanced manufacturing, construction, financial services, professional services, health care, and technology sectors.
Within the community, Mr. Williams currently serves on the Board of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce where he has served on numerous Committees.
