The Indiana Lawyer Names Senior Associate Elizabeth M. Roberson a 2023 Up and Coming Lawyer

Krieg DeVault is pleased to announce that Senior Associate Elizabeth Roberson has been named a 2023 recipient of The Indiana Lawyer’s Leadership in Law Up and Coming Lawyer Award. Ms. Roberson was among 15 Up and Coming Lawyer recipients honored during a breakfast reception at the Indiana Roof Ballroom on Thursday, May 18.
The Indiana Lawyer annually honors members of the legal profession who have shown a commitment to their peers and the clients they serve with the Leadership in Law Up and Coming Lawyer Award. As part of the selection criteria, each honoree was asked to answer a series of questions on topics including professional achievements, leadership in the legal industry, and community involvement.

Elizabeth Roberson concentrates her practice on complex employment and civil litigation matters, primarily representing clients on matters related to retaliation, discrimination, harassment, family and medical leave, disabilities, unemployment compensation, wage and hour, and restrictive covenants. Throughout her career, Ms. Roberson has demonstrated excellent advocacy skills in both federal and state courts of Indiana through motion practice, including many successful motions to dismiss and dispositive motions; oral argument at court hearings and settlement conferences; and discovery practice. Ms. Roberson has been recognized in recent years for her many legal accomplishments, including recognition as the Young Lawyer of the Year in 2022 by the Indianapolis Bar Association, and as a Distinguished Leadership Award Recipient by the Indianapolis Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. Ms. Roberson has also been recognized as a 2023 Indiana Rising Star by Indiana Super Lawyers.
Prior to working at Krieg DeVault, Ms. Roberson served as a Deputy Attorney General in the Government Litigation Section for the Office of the Indiana Attorney General. There she defended the State of Indiana, its agencies, judicial officers, county prosecutors, and state employees in numerous civil litigation matters. Ms. Roberson obtained her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law and is admitted to practice in Indiana and Illinois.
