Gareth Kuhl is a seasoned attorney who focuses his practice on real estate and federal income taxation. Gareth's primary practice concentrations are affordable housing and economic development utilizing tax incentives (including the Low Income Housing Tax Credit, Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit and New Markets Tax Credit) as well as other development and operating subsidies and financing methods. He represents for profit and nonprofit developers and owners, public housing authorities,municipalities, property managers, contractors, lenders and investors at the state, regional and national level.

Representative Experience

  • Represented for profit and nonprofit developers and owners on more than 1,000 multifamily affordable apartment developments throughout Indiana and numerous other states, including developments financed with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds, Affordable Housing Program funds, federal, state and local funded and sponsored loan and grant programs, federal, state and local rental assistance programs and other federal, state and local development and operating incentives.
  • Represented for profit and nonprofit developers and owners on hundreds of residential and commercial real estate developments financed with federal and state Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits, New Markets Tax Credits and other federal, state and local development and operating incentives.
