Scott Nehls Named Chair of Krieg DeVault’s Litigation Practice Group

Krieg DeVault LLP is pleased to announce that Scott A. Nehls has been named Chair of the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Scott assumes the role from Libby Yin Goodknight, who has served with distinction in this leadership role for the past eight years. Libby will continue her active litigation and appellate practice with the firm and remains a valued member of the Litigation Practice Group.
Scott, a Partner in the firm’s Chicago office, brings significant experience representing businesses, individuals, and financial institutions in a broad range of civil litigation matters, including shareholder disputes, contract breaches, construction litigation, fraud, employment issues, and business torts. Prior to joining Krieg DeVault, Scott served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Cook County, where he gained substantial trial and appellate experience. He is admitted to practice in Illinois, Wisconsin, multiple federal district courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Scott is recognized for his advocacy and leadership, having been named a Leading Lawyer by his peers.
