Ken Chigges Joins Krieg DeVault’s Public Finance & Municipal Law Practice

Krieg DeVault LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Ken Chigges has joined the firm in its Public & Municipal Finance practice. Drawing on broad transactional experience, Mr. Chigges counsels private developer clients in all phases of affordable housing development transactions and other complex financing and real estate matters across Indiana and beyond.
Mr. Chigges focuses his practice on assisting clients seeking to finance affordable housing and community development projects using low-income housing tax credits (LIHTCs) and bonds. He advises project developers on all aspects of tax credit transactions, including structuring, compliance and negotiation of various legal and business issues attendant to such transactions. His experience includes assisting clients with projects utilizing a variety of federal and state housing tax credits as well as other financing tools and incentives including Historic Tax Credits (HTCs), New Markets Tax Credits (NMTCs), public & private grants and taxable and tax-exempt bond financing.
In addition to his affordable housing work, Mr. Chigges maintains a robust commercial real estate practice representing developers, lenders, landlords, and tenants in development, acquisitions, leasing, financing, and dispositions. He also brings significant experience with contractual disputes, bankruptcies, liquidations, and regularly assists clients in negotiating and documenting sophisticated transactions with practical, solution-oriented guidance.
Mr. Chigges earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law and his B.S. from Illinois State University. He is admitted to practice in Indiana and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
