Krieg DeVault Associates Volunteer at Coburn Place
October 8, 2017
Krieg DeVault is proud to announce that the firm’s Associates volunteered at Coburn Place, a transitional housing and support agency for domestic violence victims in central Indiana, on October 3, 2017. An apartment was prepared for an incoming family that consisted of a pregnant mother and four children. The Associates picked out a week’s worth of food, toiletries and other household items from the donation center.
Coburn Place is the largest and most comprehensive transitional housing program (6 months to 2 years) in Indianapolis. The on-site facility has 35 separate apartments for families, which vary in size from one to three bedrooms. In order to qualify for housing at Coburn Place, the individual must be homeless and fall below a particular income level. Assuming the individual qualifies, there is often up to a year-long wait to get into Coburn Place. More than 1,700 adults and children have called Coburn Place home since 1996.
