Dan Tychonievich concentrates his practice in intellectual property while partnering with his clients to build business-focused patent and trademark portfolios. He represents clients in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and international patent and trademark applications and counsels and assists in intellectual property litigation. Dan has experience in mechanical, electro-mechanical and chemical-mechanical technologies, as well as software. He is experienced in licensing of intellectual property, non infringement/invalidity opinions and trademark cancelations/oppositions. He also provides due diligence reviews of intellectual property portfolios and of intellectual property terms for business transaction agreements.
Before joining Krieg DeVault, Dan served for several years in private practice and also was a patent lawyer with electronics manufacturer CTS Corp. in Elkhart, Indiana. Additionally, he has experience in corporate and contractual matters. Dan's practice is further enhanced by his extensive experience as a practicing engineer. He was previously registered as a Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio.

- Lead attorney for docket matters consisting of over 90 patents and applications and over 400 trademarks and applications
- Successfully negotiated numerous co-existence agreements of trademark opposition, cancelation and litigation proceedings
- Prosecuted significant patents in recreational vehicle, boat manufacturing, and construction industries.
