Associates
Joining Krieg DeVault will give you the opportunity to work with an exceptional team in a dynamic, sophisticated and exciting private law practice. You will gain experience in a variety of practice areas, work with a diverse clientele, and receive the training you need to grow professionally and become a great lawyer. You’ll be assigned a mentor to guide you and help you integrate. We invest heavily in our lawyers’ success, offering many training programs to help you develop the skills you need to succeed. These include oral advocacy, effective writing, negotiating skills and client relations. You’ll receive extensive feedback and the opportunity to work for a firm that values initiative, an entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and diversity.
Additionally, we have a long-established Associates Committee that actively engages with the partners and Executive Committee, maintaining an open dialogue regarding associate-focused issues and concern. The Associates Committee provides input on projects, proposals, process and procedure improvements, training and mentoring, compensation and benefits, and a host of other issues. Associates are evaluated annually and also receive a midyear review for the first three years of practice. Goals and objectives are made clear, including an 1,800 billable hour minimum and an aggressive partnership track.

Non-Lawyer Professionals
Krieg DeVault hires a variety of non-lawyer professionals who enhance our practices and client service by offering business and industry perspective and strong and effective working relationships with our clients. These professionals find rewarding careers working collaboratively with our lawyers and other professionals as respected and valued members of our practice and industry groups, Government Affairs team, and in roles of economic development project managers, land planner professionals, and in other advisory positions.
