Municipal and Governmental Law
As municipal governments face new issues like privatization, as well as traditional concerns involving procurement, financing, and economic development, Krieg DeVault’s experience is invaluable to both public and private sector clients. Members of our team have hands-on municipal government experience, and we work closely with organizations like the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns and the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance to keep abreast of new municipal law developments. Our firm has special insight into the complexities of privatizing municipal services, having handled one of the largest public-private partnerships of a municipal water utility ever accomplished in the United States. Our other transactional work involves contracts and procurement, public finance, and municipal utility matters. We also represent cities and towns before all levels of state and federal courts in controversies ranging from annexation disputes to employment litigation.
