Jeffrey Ledbetter is a financial services attorney with broad experience in law relating to consumer lending companies, including regulatory compliance and transactional work, for state licensed consumer lenders, mortgage companies, sales finance companies and other financial institutions. Mr. Ledbetter is a member of the firm's Financial Institutions Practice. Immediately prior to joining Krieg DeVault, Mr. Ledbetter spent 17 years working in house at a prominent financial services company. In this role, he provided legal support for the company's centralized mortgage servicing platform, provided legal advice for federal and state legislative and regulatory changes, state licensing for mortgage servicing, consumer lending, new product development, and general regulatory compliance issues. He also provided legal due diligence for two major acquisitions. Mr. Ledbetter has been advising financial institutions for 35 years.

Mr. Ledbetter has been actively involved in the American Financial Services Association (AFSA), where he previously served as the chair of the AFSA Law Committee for two years and as the chair of the Law Committee’s Mortgage Lending Subcommittee for many years.
