Travis D. Lovett

Travis Lovett advises privately held companies, entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners in mergers and acquisitions, strategic transactions, and general corporate matters. His practice focuses on middle-market transactions, including stock and asset acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, ESOP transactions, and other complex business combinations.

Travis also serves as outside counsel to companies on corporate governance, ownership and succession planning, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and other operational and business-critical matters. He works closely with clients to structure transactions, manage legal risk, and provide practical guidance through each stage of a deal.

Before joining Krieg DeVault, Travis advised Indigenous communities in Canada on governance and economic development matters.

• Transaction counsel in transfer of ownership and equity purchases of jet aircrafts
• Transaction counsel to engineering firm in stock and asset acquisitions to grow operations across multiple states
• Transaction counsel for purchaser of the subsidiary of an international company with seller financing and bank security in limestone industry
• Transaction counsel in sale of health care company to private equity purchaser
• Counsel to cannabis company in subscription of investment and partnership with Native American tribes
• Counsel to chemical-distribution company to obtain licensure for processing and distribution of hemp
• Counsel clients to obtain and comply with Minority and/or Women’s Business Enterprise Certification 
• General counsel to Indigenous communities in Saskatchewan and Manitoba Canada on corporate and tribal matters
