Ashley Gilbert-Johnson is a civil litigation, medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, and commercial litigation attorney. She represents healthcare providers, insurers, and businesses in high-stakes litigation, including the defense of medical malpractice claims, insurance coverage disputes, and commercial contract matters.

Representative Experience

  • Lead counsel through jury trial obtaining a defense verdict for physicians in a lawsuit alleging delay in care and failure to obtain informed consent
  • Lead counsel through jury trial obtaining a defense verdict for hospital in a lawsuit alleging failure to respond to patient symptoms
  • Efficiently and successfully represents both hospitals and physicians as lead counsel in numerous medical malpractice actions filed with the Indiana Department of Insurance
  • Secured dismissals, via summary judgment or voluntary dismissal, of numerous state court actions
  • Represents health care providers in response to consumer complaints against their professional licensure before appropriate licensing boards
  • Represents Governmental entities in negligence claims pursuant to the Tort Claims Act
